Watch Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi Online Streaming
The ultimate boxing match between two former champions, Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi, is now in the books. The fight was aired Saturday night with Juan Diaz winning the match by unanimous decision.
The Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi fight lasted 12 rounds with Diaz getting a cut on the second round just above his eye but it did not slowed him down.
The final scorecard for the Juan Diaz vs Pauli Malignaggi match, which you can now watch online through streaming or download and also available through pay-per-view is as follows:
- David Sutherland: 116-112
- Gale Van Hoyt: 118-110
- Raul Caiz Sr.: 115-113
Pauli Malignaggi is now asking for a rematch citing that the scores were rediculous. He then proposed that the venue for the second Juan Diaz vs. Pauli Malignaggi match should be held in his hometown, the big Apple.
Juan Diaz got so ecstatic when he learned he won the title and that made him ran around the boxing ring to salute his fans a scene not so different from rockstar concerts.
Juan Diaz lost to Juan Manuel Marquez last February and he hopes that this win will allow him to fight against the winners of succeeding fights.
I wonder if he could beat our very own Manny Pacquiao.
Martin Nievera’s Lupang Hinirang
I’ve read stories of how people get teary-eyed when they hear the Philippine National Anthem–Lupang Hinirang and I think they are over acting or reacting. I can give an excuse for those who grew up in abroad but for the average Pinoy who live and breathe “Bayang Magiliw” from Kindergarten to High School, I think it’s totally hilarious. It’s just like praying, repeat it again and again and you end up reciting instead of actually meaning what you’re saying.
I haven’t got the chance to watch the Pacquiao-Hatton fight simply because I hate seeing Manny win again. It’s something personal and it’s not because I hate Filipinos (geez) I just hate, well, Manny Pacquiao. I just knew Manny won after 2 rounds cause almost every Pinoy Blogger is writing about it and even Time Warner Cable is hawking the pay-per-view of such match (which I think is a waste of money cause you can watch the Paquiao-Hatton Boxing Match online). With some free time and a mind set to nothing, I decided to read the latest news relative to the Pacquiao-Hatton bout and found out about Martin Nievera’s controversial rendition of the Philippine National Anthem-Lupang Hinirang.
Some find it wonderful and powerful, some find it scandalous, others even find it unlawful. I think it’s a breath of fresh air and, even though it’s hard to admit, watching his rehearsal video of the Philippine National Anthem above made me cry. i wonder how he did it during the actual Pacquiao-Hatton fight. Perhaps my room will be flooded with tears of patriotism (scary thought).
Now I know why people cry when listening to Lupang Hinirang.
