How much is the iPad ? A lot of people are wondering about the iPad price or the iPad cost but before we go through that part let me tell you something about the iPad tablet first. Yes, the iPad is a tablet computer nothing really revolutionary had it been a PC but wait, this is Apple and like the other Apple products, the Apple iPad is magical!

The iPad is basically a bigger version of the iPhone and the  iPod Touch and most of the apps you see in the Apple App store will run on the iPad. There are two versions of the iPad though based on how it connects to the Internet, the cheaper one can only connect through Wi-fi and the much pricier one can connect with both wi-fi and 3G an essential us here in the Philippines.

How much is the iPad?

Ok, enough with the foreplay and lets proceed with what you came here for. So how much is the iPad ? According  to the Apple website, the iPad cost as follows: for Wi-Fi capable iPad, the 16 GB model costs $499, the 32 GB costs $599 and the 64 GB costs $699; the Wi-Fi and 3G capable ones costs $629 for the 16 GB, $729 for the 32 GB and $829 for the 64 GB model.

We don’t have any info yet on how much the iPad in the Philippines will be but I recommend that you get the one with 3G capability but don’t get the one with a plan. Like the iPhone, the iPad 3G in the Philippines will definitely come with a lock-out plan with Globe so stay away from this if you don’t have much moolah to spend.

I asked a friend working in Apple Philippines how much is the iPad but he said they still don’t know yet but assured me that I just have to multiply the US price with the current exchange rate like what they do with other Apple Gadgets. You can also check out the Apple Philippines store online but as of this moment, they are not offering the iPad yet.

I’m very thankful I didn’t get the Amazon Kindle International edition with this new development. I’m definitely getting myself an iPad even if it costs me an arm and a leg.
