De La Hoya, Pacquiao on December 6

The much awaited De La Hoya Pacquiao match was finally set to the December 6, this year with both parties agreeing to the revenue sharing deal which is expected to reach more than a hundred million dollars. Golden Boy, is expected to gain $15 million out of the fight.

Both will be contending in the welterweight division so Manny needs to pack a few pounds to get to 147 while his contender, on the other hand, needs to shred some off.

The event will be De La Hoya’s finale while, for Pacquiao, it will be his third to the last since his eyes are set to politics. This will be his second shot for the post after being defeated by Darline Antonino-Custodio for the congressional seat.

As with all other Pacquiao fights, SM cinemas will be showing it live and hopefully with a Christmas discount. Since this falls on the same day as dad’s birthday, I think it will be my first time to buy a ticket to a Pacquiao match. I may sound like eating my own words (specially if you happen to read my past posts about the Pacman, but I hope he will win this time so dad won’t be upset but I hope he would loose in the political arena even if Gloria (my idol) would be his new Freddy Roach.
