From what I heard, most bloggers get into the blogging bandwagon cause they read in newspapers, heard on the radio, seen an episode of a talk show, or read it in some website that a certain so and so quit his job to pursue a professional blogging career and is now earning way more than he used to with less stress and more time to do the things he love. Honestly, this is the same reason why I am here.
Since my first post about Reynaldo Lapus back in January, earing a few dollars has been my primary blogging motivation. I don’t have yet and so I need a source of income to finance my lifestyle. It’s also cool when I got to tell my folks I’m earning dollars although it’s not that big yet.
Since sponsored posts earns more than Adsense Clicks, getting an e-mail about a blogging opportunity is what I call a good day.
When I learned that getting a PageRank opens a lot more doors, I immediately devoted my efforts in getting a backlinks through commenting, submitting my site to web directories, and asking my blogger friends to link to me. My efforts evidently failed which lead me to believe that Google hates me. I was depressed to the point of not wanting to continue writing. I have to wait a few more months to get the much coveted Google love which also means a lower earning potential.
At some point, I realized that if I don’t find another motivation, I would eventually quit blogging.
Besides getting comments, I still am yet to know what gets bloggers to blog even without earning income.
If you’re in the mood for sharing your blogging motivation, kindly leave a comment.
