Saying Byebye to Banner Exchange Programs

If it’s not Entrecard, then it’s out!I’m tired of wasting space which I could use for something else.

I could have a minimum of 1 cent per day by just replacing those with banner exchange programs that just gives me 1 click on my ad per day or just make my blog seem less cluttered. I’m not even sure if it’s just a mere click or an actual visit. I don’t even know where my ads show up.

I let go of Adgridwork after 3 days. I got nothing from them. not even 1 click. I also think text-links already loose it’s thunder to graphical ads so visitors tend to be blind to those now. They even embed a hidden link to a site on their code.

LInk exchange

Spottt has to go too. I heard they are featured on Fortune for turning Microsoft’s crap to treasure with the link-exchange and all but after a month with them, I know it’s still crap. They just colored it pink so Elle Woods wood love it.

Adsflip seems to be promising at first then came last week where all I can see is ads for iWebtool. I checked my other blogs with their widget on and found the same phenomenon. Now, that was funny!

I tried Nuacco too but got the same results.

It seems that Entrecard is the only thing that works. Talk about 215,951 Alexa ranking in just 1 month. I’m also making extra income from Entrecard and that makes it even cooler!

  1. Thanks for the list of advertisement sources that don’t work. Being new to blogging, that can save me a lot of time and grief!

  6. Hello! Thanks for this informative post. I just joined EntreCard a few days ago, and have been pretty happy with the traffic increase.

Now that you covered which ads/linkexchanges don’t work, what do you think DOES work? I’ve only tried EntreCard, Google AdSense, and AdBrite.

AdBrite has been troublesome, to say the least, and I am looking for another advertiser. They say you can control your ads, but they keep showing inappropriate ads (on a family-friendly, health related site!) even after I asked for G-rated ads only. The ads they do show are very repetitive and - as you mentioned - any internet user is blind to them.

    Thanks again!

  7. Adbrite and Adsense are not link/banner exchange programs.

Adsense seems to be a staple for new blogs like this. You get paid only when you reach $100. It would take a lot of months before you get to that. You will get revenues if someone clicks on your Adsense ad.

Don’t click it yourself cause it’s a violation to their TOS.

Adbrite pays you per thousand impression of a image ads and per click for text ads. You can’t choose which ad to run in the case of network running ads (generic). Usually, they show racy ads even if you specify that you don’t want those.

I use both of them here.

I also use Projectwonderful. It pays you per day an ad runs on your site. The amount you get depends on the highest bid to your spot. Lots of top blogs complain that they are not making much money from Projectwonderful but small blogs like mine don’t care as long as we’re earning some.

    Hope it helps

  8. been using project wonderful just recently and i know some bloggers are saying they’re not earning much but then a few cents is a great thing for newbie bloggers like me. I don’t really withdraw earnings from project wonderful but rather use it to advertise my blog for additional exposure. And I’m getting some clicks already from ads ive posted.

as for entrecard, :) I love it! I’m getting a lot of traffic from it and I get to discover great blogs too at no cost at all!

  9. PW is nice. It’s working for me more than adsense. Sabagay, most of those who complain are from abroad. heheh. Chicken lang kasi yun sa kanila heheh.

By the way, ty sa EC heheh dalawa pala blog mo

  10. Banner Exchange programs are very helpful with all those switching ads it not only adds color to your page but also much needed traffic. I had used banner exchange program it was very effective.
